Scented Garden is developing Australia’s only specialist Sansevieria nursery and will continue to offer many new Sansevierias in the near future.

Sansevieria’s have become very popular plants in recent times.
Sanseviera, are commonly called “Mother-in-Law Tongues”. Many species of the Sansevieria are very rare in Australia.

Most of the new, rare Sansevieria hybrids that we offer are exclusive only to Scented Garden Frangipanis, having been collected by us from around the world, or cross-bred ourselves.

Sansevieria’s come in a huge range of shapes and sizes.

They are becoming increasingly popular worldwide due to the many excellent horticultural qualities that the best varieties possess:

1) They are very water-wise/drought tolerant.
2) Sansevieria’s grow well in all light conditions – indoors /outdoors, shade, semi shade or full sun
3) These plants are basically “bomb-proof” – very hardy, and resistant to most pests and diseases

4) Sansevieria’s have excellent cut foliage for floristry
5) They have beautiful variegated foliage which gives a tropical look yet needs little or no water once established.
6) Sansevieria’s come with a large range of shapes, sizes and colors in foliage
7) They have sweetly perfumed flowers and are fire-resistant
