Description
Penang Peach is a rare old compact semi dwarf variety from the island of Penang, Malaysia.
The large peach perfumed flowers are very beautiful, in big bunches.
The very old trees in Penang grow no more than 1.5 m tall and 2.5m wide with branches from ground level up. The foliage / crown is very dense.
A very unusual compact shrub with large flowers.
When grafted the plants tend to become more compact.
Because of these unique characteristics Penang Peach has been used in recent times to breed a new type of world class compact semi dwarf frangipani shrubs in a range of different colors and perfumes.
